The CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services reflects the role of community services workers involved in the delivery, management and coordination of person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities. At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously within their scope of practice under broad directions from senior management. Workers support people to make change in their lives to improve personal and social wellbeing and may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers.
Classes are rostered for 3 days per week + self-study component.
Full-Time studies require students to attend a minimum of 20 scheduled course contact hours per week.

During Work-Based Training, you will be able to practice your skills and knowledge in real workplace settings. This will assist you to be job-ready> at graduation. Stanley College has entered into Work-Based-Training agreements with a number of employers.
All Work-Based Training is organised by Stanley College’s Employment Liaison Team in consultation with students. Before commencement of Work-Based Training, students are also required to provide:

ˆ National Police Certificate (NPC) contains a list of a person’s disclosable court outcomes and pending charges from all Australian police jurisdictions. This includes traffic and non-police prosecuted matters. Where a student has ‘disclosable outcomes or pending charges’ then this may impact Stanley College being able to successfully place them with a Work-Based Training Host Employer, which may impact students being able to successfully complete their studies.
# WA mandatory vaccination policy no longer applies, however the majority of employers providing work-based training places for this course, require students to be Fully Vaccinated = You have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 Vaccination AND a mandatory third dose when it is due (currently 3 months after 2nd dose)
**Note – Working in the Community Care or Aged Care sectors, including Work Based Training, may require you to be able to drive to be able to meet the needs of the clients. Therefore, it is recommended you have a valid driver’s licence for these courses.

Recognition is available (on application) to students with prior skills, experience, knowledge or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training, in a related area. Recognition may reduce the duration of your studies.

On completion of the CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services, students may pursue a bachelors degree at Stanley College or selected Bachelor courses at Universities.
The CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services qualification is superseded and has been replaced by the new CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services. Stanley College has now commenced delivering the new version of this qualification.
What does this mean?
All students enrolled in CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services must either successfully complete their studies OR transition into the new version of the qualification by no later than 31/07/2025. The students who do not successfully complete their studies and receive their award by this date will be required to transition to the updated qualification if they wish to continue their studies. Transition to the new version of this qualification may require students to pay additional costs and complete additional assessment work and/or work-based training hours.
