Perth, Western Australia – 27 August 2026
Stanley College is proud to announce the appointment of Chien Vu as its new Chief Executive Officer, signalling an exciting new phase of growth for the college across Western Australia and South Australia.
Chien brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience across Australia’s higher education and vocational education sectors. Most recently serving as an Advisor to UP Education, he has also held CEO roles at Acknowledge Education and the International College of Hotel Management (ICHM), where he successfully led periods of strategic growth, organisational transformation and stronger governance.
“I’m delighted to be joining Stanley College at such a pivotal moment,” said Chien Vu. “This is an education institution with a genuine commitment to quality education and to the success of every student who walks through our doors. I’m excited to build on that strong foundation and lead the college into its next chapter of growth.”
Under Chien’s leadership, Stanley College is expanding its program offerings, growing its campus network, strengthening industry partnerships, and creating new opportunities for students across Australia and internationally.
Chien succeeds Alberto Tassone, who led Stanley College for 17 years and now steps into the role of Chair of the Board of Directors. Since welcoming its first students in 2009, the college has grown under his leadership into one of Australia’s leading independent education providers, with more than 40,000 graduates making a positive impact across Australia and around the world.
In welcoming Chien to the role, Mr Tassone pointed to the shared values that have defined Stanley College since its inception, putting students first, embracing diversity and pursuing excellence- as the foundation for the college’s next chapter.
Chien’s appointment reflects Stanley College’s continued investment in strong, experienced leadership as it grows its presence as a leading provider of Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education.
