Stanley College has officially opened its new West Perth Campus – Hay Street, home to a state-of-the-art hospitality training hub designed to equip students with the practical skills, commercial experience and industry confidence needed to meet Western Australia’s growing workforce demands.
The site is the third local campus for Stanley College and marks a significant milestone in the institution’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence and workforce development in Western Australia.
Officially opened by The Hon. Roger Cook MLA, Premier of Western Australia, the purpose-built campus has been designed to bridge the gap between education and employment, providing students with hands-on experience in commercial-standard hospitality environments that reflect the workplaces they will enter after graduation.
At the heart of the new campus is CU29 Restaurant, its commercial training restaurant that provides students with immersive, real-world learning opportunities to develop the technical capability, professionalism and confidence needed to succeed in the industry.
Alberto Tassone, Chair of the Board of Directors of Stanley College, said the purpose-built campus represents a new approach to hospitality education.
“Our students will learn in commercial-standard kitchens, modern training restaurants and contemporary hospitality environments that mirror the workplaces they will enter after graduation,” Mr Tassone said.
“Learning here is not simply theoretical, it is hands-on. Students gain real-world experience serving actual customers while completing their practical training and assessment.”

The site will support Commercial Cookery students undertaking qualifications from Certificate III through to Advanced Diploma, with pathways into degree-level study. Students studying a Bachelor of Business Majoring in Hospitality and a Master of Business in Hospitality will also benefit from the facilities.
The opening also marks a new chapter for Stanley College, coming shortly after the appointment of Chien Vu as Chief Executive Officer. Mr Vu’s appointment further strengthens the institution’s vision for growth, innovation and student success.
