CREDIT TRANSFER AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

If you are applying for a course and have completed previous studies or gained relevant professional experience, you may qualify for Credit Transfer or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

WHAT IS RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)?

RPL assesses the skills and knowledge you have already gained and matches them against your chosen course requirements. If your experience is relevant, you can receive credit without repeating what you already know.

Your skills may have come from:

  • Work experience or volunteering
  • Previous study or training
  • Community involvement or personal achievements

WHAT IS CREDIT TRANSFER?

Credit Transfer is credit granted towards a qualification for units of competency you have already completed as part of another nationally accredited course. These units may have been achieved at Stanley College or through another nationally recognised institution.

To apply for Credit Transfer, you will need to provide:

  • A certified copy of your Statement of Attainment or Record of Results
  • Relevant supporting documents from your previous training provider
