STUDENT VISA AND SUPPORT

STUDENT VISA

A Student Visa is required for international students to enrol and study at an Australian education institution for the period of their studies. Additionally, with a student visa, international students can stay in and re-enter Australia for the duration of their course.

Important: You will need your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from Stanley College before applying for your student visa.

My visa hasn’t been granted yet

If your visa isn’t approved in time for your course start date, contact us immediately at admissions@stanleycollege.edu.au. We will work with you to find a solution.

My visa is expiring before my course ends

You may need to renew your student visa. Contact the Department of Home Affairs, your Education Agent, or Migration Agent for advice. Stanley College staff cannot provide migration advice. Students should contact a registered Migration Agent or the Department of Home Affairs.

CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT (CoE)

A Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) is an official document that is issued by Stanley College and used by the Australian Government. It records all details regarding your course enrolment, including the course name, course start/end dates, and course fees.

MAINTAIN ACTIVE CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT (COE)

Stanley College is required to update or report certain enrolment changes to the Department of Home Affairs through PRISMS in accordance with ESOS requirements, if you:

  • Fail to commence your studies by the commencement date
  • Commence studies, but then subsequently inform Stanley College of your decision to cease your enrolment, prior to completion of your studies
  • Defer your studies
  • Fail to re-enrol and return to your course after the semester break
  • Completed your studies and graduated from your course earlier than indicated on your CoE
  • Change your study plans, which may affect your course duration
  • Are reported by Stanley College due to:
    • Non-payment of fees
    • Unsatisfactory academic progress*
    • Academic or general misconduct*

*Please review the Student Handbook for more detailed information.
