STHFAB009A Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
Stanley College now offers a 6 hour face-to-face Responsible Service of Alcohol course that provides you with the accreditation required by law to work in the industry.
Qualification
Upon successful completion of this unit you receive a nationally accredited Certificate of Attainment in SITHFAB009A Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol. The course is recognised in all states with exception of New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. The Victorian government offers a free online upgrade course. For more information about the

Career pathways
This unit is required by law for those selling and serving alcohol and may include food and beverage attendants; retail liquor sales persons; winery, brewery and distillery cellar door staff; supplier sales representatives and the licensee.
Course Duration
The course is delivered face-to-face over 6 hours by a qualified and experienced trainer. Benefit from personal interaction, industry knowledge and networking opportunities in a friendly environment.
Entry Requirements
Age: Above 18 years of age
Academic requirements: Completed Australian Year 10 or equivalent
Course Details
- Legal Framework
- Sell or serve alcohol responsibly
- Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits
- Assess alcohol affected customers and identify customers to whom sale or service must be refused
- Refuse to provide alcohol
