CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care
Course Duration
The theory and practical components of this course are delivered over 10 weeks.
In addition, this course includes work-based training of up to 10 weeks.
Classes are rostered for 5 days per week (25 hours per week).

Recognition of Previous Studies or Work Experience

- HLTHIR403C Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers
- CHCICS302A Participate in the implementation of individualised plans
- HLTAP301B Recognise healthy body systems in a health care context
- CHCCS305B Assist clients with medication
- HLTIN301A Comply with infection control policies and procedures in health work
- CHCPA301B Deliver care services using a palliative approach
- CHCAC317A Support older people to maintain their independence
- CHCCS400B Work within a relevant legal and ethical framework
- CHCICS303A Support individual health and emotional well being

Completion of Australian Year 10 or equivalent
Provision of National Police Clearance*
Note: Evidence of Medical Clearance may also be required*

Further Studies
On completion of the Certificate III in Aged Care, students may pursue various higher education options at Stanley College or other education institutions. We offer a double certification course for the Certificate III in Aged Care and Certificate III in Home and Community Care. Students who successfully complete the following 3 additional units will also be awarded with the Certificate III in Home and Community Care:
- CHCICS304A Work effectively with carers
- CHCDIS301A Work effectively with people with a disability
- CHCHC311A Work effectively in home and community care environment
