Study Modes
The delivery methods for this course include
  • Face-to-face classroom-based theoretical learning and assessment.
  • Practical training and assessment at Stanley College’s registered training venue.
    Training will be conducted at The West Australian Group Training Scheme.
Work-based Training
This course includes work-based training of a minimum of 400 hours / 20 weeks. During work-based training, students will be able to obtain practical skills and experience in real workplace settings. This will assist them to be work-ready at graduation.

Recognition of Previous Studies or Work Experience
Recognition is available (on application) to students with prior skills, experience, knowledge or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training, in a related area. Recognition may reduce the duration of your studies.

  • CPCCCM2001A Read and interpret plans and specifications
  • CPCCCM2006A Apply basic levelling procedures
  • CPCCWF2001A Handle wall and floor tiling materials
  • CPCCWF2002A Use wall and floor tiling tools and equipment
  • CPCCCM2008A Erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding
  • CPCCWF3001A Prepare surfaces for tiling application
  • CPCCWP3002A Apply waterproofing process to internal wet areas
  • CPCCWF3002A Fix floor tiles
  • CPCCWF3003A Fix wall tiles
  • CPCCWF3004A Repair wall and floor tiles
  • CPCCWF3007A Tile curved surfaces
  • CPCCWF3006A Carry out mosaic tiling

CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry (white card) is a mandatory course for all persons working at construction sites.

Packaged Option
On completion of Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling, students may pursue the Diploma of Management, with an additional 26 weeks of study, at a fee of $4,900 (Course fee: $4,600; Material fee: $300).

Further Studies
Students may pursue CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building), CPC50210 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) or other industry-related courses at other education providers.
