construction industry. Learn about the safe use and maintenance of a wide range of tools and equipment.
Develop skills to lay bricks and blocks in mortar to construct walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other
structures for domestic, industrial and commercial buildings.

Gain the skills and experience to work as a solid plasterer in the building and construction industry. Learn
to use solid plastering tools and equipment to apply plain, decorative and protective coverings of plaster
to the interiors and exteriors of structures. Be trained to apply float and render to straight and curved
surfaces, and trowelled texture coat finishes. Acquire skills to install paper-faced cornices and cast plaster.

Be equipped with the skills and experience to work as a tiler in the building and construction industry. Learn
to lay ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass and other types of tiles on a variety of internal and external
surfaces. Be trained in the safe use and maintenance of a variety of tools and equipment, and acquire the
skills to waterproof wet areas and carry out repairs.
